We are so thankful that you have shown an interest in serving the Lord in Honduras with us.  It is our desire to facilitate the specific mission that you have been called to pursue.

Here is some basic information that will help you as you pray over serving the Lord alongside us in Honduras.

Trip Cost:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Missionary Insurance (optional but suggested):
  • Lodging and meals @ $60/day including 1st & last day (includes in-country transportation and logistical support)
  •  **Does not include airport meals, souvenirs, church offerings, or possible love offerings.

    Passport:

Travel to Honduras requires a valid passport.  Passports must
have more than 6 months remaining before expiration upon departure.

    Health & Shots:

Team members should be in good physical health.   We suggest that anyone with a serious chronic medical condition not volunteer.  Many areas of work will be quite mountainous, hot and dusty.  Team members should make sure the following shots are up to date:  Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Tetanus.  Malaria pills are also recommended for most areas.  Check with the CDC for up-to-date immunization suggestions for traveling to Honduras.

    Living & Working Conditions:

Team members must be flexible and willing to work as a member of the team.  Travel, living and working conditions may be challenging at times.  The work may be quite strenuous and the climate will be extremely hot and wet depending on the time of year.

    Evangelism Focus:

All teams (including construction) are encouraged to participate in evangelistic outreach to the community in which they work.  This may include prayer walks, door-to-door visitations, the showing of the movies, Backyard Bible Clubs for children, etc. Most of our area of focus will be north of Tegucigalpa, in and around Victoria, Yoro but we are willing to take your team to most any area you prefer.

Possible Projects (We are open to anything your team feels called to do):

Evangelism – This will involve some combination of VBS, door-to-door evangelism, and evangelistic services.  It could also include other types of evangelistic ministries as arranged and agreed upon by the on-site coordinators.
Construction – Primarily the construction of a house, a church, Sunday School classrooms, water filtration systems, or other projects as determined by the on-site coordinators.  Construction teams need at least one member who has strong construction and/or block laying skills.  On-site coordinators will arrange all logistics.  Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Medical/Dental Clinics – Medical teams will provide primary care in a mobile clinic setting, and will conduct primary care clinics in local churches, public buildings and various locations.  Opportunities exist for medical specialties.  Ideally, a medical team will include primary care providers, nurses and a pharmacist.  Dental is primarily cleanings and/or extractions.
Feeding – This includes delivering bagged groceries and cooked meals
